The resources, found in the “Resources” tab under “Service Plans” by selecting a specific plan, specify what system resources are included with the subscription.
Overuse policy
Specifies the actions that occur when usage of disk space and traffic reach their respective limit values within the subscription.
- Overuse is not allowed will suspend the subscription.
- Overuse of disk space and traffic is allowed will let the subscription operate properly if disk space and traffic are overused.
In the event of overuse, users have the option to be notified via email. This can be done by selecting the “Notify me by email” option. These notifications will be triggered as soon as disk space or traffic usage exceeds the limit values specified under the “Notify when disk space usage reaches” and “Notify when traffic usage reaches” options. The notifications will be sent to the email addresses specified in the “Tools & Settings” under “Notifications” and the topic will be “Resource usage limits exceeded by subscription.”
- Overuse is allowed will let the subscription operate properly when any types of resources are overused.
Note : It’s important to keep in mind that the overuse policy does not apply to the limits set on the size of mailboxes. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that enough disk space is allocated for mailboxes, even if overuse notifications are enabled.
Disk Space
The total amount of disk space allocated for the subscription is comprised of all files associated with the subscription, including: content for websites, databases, applications, mailboxes, log files, and backup files.
Notify when disk space usage reaches
The notification limit for disk space usage can be set in units of MB, GB, or TB, or as a percentage. If you want the limit to be fixed, you can specify it in units of MB, GB, or TB. In this case, even if you add an add-on that increases the disk space for the subscription, the limit will remain unchanged. On the other hand, if you want the limit to be flexible, you can specify it as a percentage. In this case, if you add an add-on that increases the disk space, the limit will be automatically recalculated. For example, if the initial disk space is 10GB and you set a notification limit of 9GB, a notification will be sent after 9GB is exceeded. But if you set the notification limit as 90%, a notification will be sent when 13.5GB is exceeded after add-on.
Traffic
The amount of data that can be transferred from the subscription’s websites and FTP/Samba shares during a month.
Notify when traffic usage reaches
Available only if overuse of disk space and traffic is allowed. This sets the notification limit for traffic usage. When this limit is reached, Plesk sends notifications to users’ email addresses specified in Tools & Settings > Notifications: Resource usage limits exceeded by subscription.
Sites Published with Presence Builder
The number of websites that can be published with Presence Builder.
Domains
The total number of domain names that a subscriber can host within their subscription. This includes websites, web forwarding configurations that point to websites hosted on other servers, and domain names that haven’t been set up for hosting yet.
Subdomains
The total number of subdomains that a subscriber can host within their subscription.
Domain Aliases
The total number of alternative domain names that a subscriber can use for their websites.
Mailboxes
The total number of mailboxes that a subscriber can host within their subscription.
Mailbox Size
The amount of disk space allocated to each mailbox in a subscription for storing email messages and attachments.
Total Mailboxes Quota (Windows Hosting)
The total amount of disk space, in megabytes, available for all mailboxes within the subscription.
Mailing Lists
The total number of mailing lists that a subscriber can host within their subscription.
Additional FTP Accounts
The maximum number of FTP accounts that can be used to access the files and folders within a subscription. This number doesn’t include an account that’s always created during the subscription’s creation.
Databases (Unix Hosting)
The total number of databases that can be created on the Plesk database servers and used by the subscription’s websites.
MySQL Databases and MS SQL Databases (Windows Hosting)
The maximum number of MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases, respectively, that can be created on the Plesk database servers and used by the subscription’s websites.
Total MySQL Databases Quota and Total MS SQL Databases Quota (Windows Hosting)
The maximum amount of disk space that MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server databases can occupy, respectively, on a subscription.
MS SQL Database File Size (Windows Hosting)
The maximum size of a Microsoft SQL Server database file. Note that if a database consists of more than one file, more disk space might be used than specified.
MS SQL Database Log File Size (Windows Hosting)
The maximum size of a Microsoft SQL Server log file. Note that if a database has more than one log file, more disk space might be used than specified.
Validity Period/Expiration Date
The period of time during which a subscription is valid.
In service plan properties, it’s called the Validity Period. It’s used only for newly created subscriptions, and the subscription’s expiration date depends on it.
In subscription properties, it’s called the Expiration Date. On this date, the subscription is suspended, meaning that all sites within the subscription are suspended, and their web, FTP, and mail services will no longer be accessible to internet users. Additionally, subscribers and their users can’t log in to the Customer Panel anymore.
Subscriptions aren’t renewed automatically, so to bring a subscription’s services back online, you’ll need to manually activate the subscription.
Web Users
The total number of personal web pages that a subscriber can host for other users under their websites. This service is mostly used in educational institutions that host non-commercial personal pages of their students and staff. These pages usually have addresses like http://example.com
